The Me 410 is a further improvement of the Me 210, which was developed with the aim of succeeding the destroyer Bf 110. By changing the equipment of the nose bomb bay, various subtypes including fighter-bombers were developed. In the first mass-produced type A, an interceptor fighter type that has both high-speed performance and climbing power was developed, and it is playing an active part in the interception battle of Allied heavy bombers. The B type is an improved version of the A type equipped with a higher output engine, and the high-speed bomber B-1 type among them has been used for nighttime bombing operations on the British mainland since the “Battle of Britain”.
